Installing ENVI+IDL Software

I would like to have ENVI + IDL installed

Environment

  • ENVI+IDL

Resolution

Note: The user must have their own license for the software. We do not provide the license at the University.

  1. Download the software from the L3Harris Download and License center
  2. Download ENVI 5.6.1 for Windows
  3. Run envi561-win.exe
  4. Click Next
  5. Click Next
  6. Click Next
  7. Click Next
  8. Check  Advanced
  9. Click Next
  10. Click Install
    Note: You may have to restart the computer
  11. Click Yes
  12. Click Yes

Local License:

  1. Open Harris License Administrator
  2. Select Activate Local License
  3. Enter the License Code
  4. Click Activate
  5. Click Close
  6. Open ENVI 5.6.1 to verify it is working

Use License Server:

  1. Open Harris License Administrator
  2. Select Use License Server
  3. Server: usd-key.usd.edu Port: 7070
  4. Select Connect

Licensing Server

  1. Assign to Operations
