Adobe Acrobat Pro Menu Display Issue

Issue/Question

Adobe Acrobat Pro is not displaying the menu options correctly

The Acrobat side/menu panel appears distorted, and the menu options are partially hidden or cut off

Environment

  • Adobe Creative Cloud 
  • Adobe Acrobat
  • Windows

Resolution

  1. Follow Computer Needing Updates 
    Note:     if updating doesn't resolve the issue, please follow the steps below

Reset Acrobat preferences

  1. Close Acrobat
  2. Hold Ctrl while launching Acrobat
  3. Confirm reset when prompted

Turn off GPU acceleration

  1. Open Acrobat
  2. Click Menu
  3. Select  Preferences
  4. Click Page Display
  5. Uncheck Use 2D Graphics Acceleration
  6. Restart Acrobat

Reset the Tools pane manually

  1. Click the X next to the gear icon 
  2. Then reopen Tools from the top toolbar
    Note:  Sometimes it snaps back correctly

Check display scaling

  1. Right-click desktop
  2. Select Display settings
  3. Temporarily set Scale = 100%
  4. Relaunch Acrobat to test
