Request assistance with purchasing new hardware or software for your department.
Standard hardware is available in SDezBuy punch outs to submit for purchase through your department. See Hardware Request Service Offering if you need assistance selecting the hardware to meet your needs.
Software is a normal part of our daily work and teaching. Most software is now available as an app or via a website (aka cloud software). With that comes risk of university data being exposed and compromised. See Software Request Service Offering for more info or to submit a request.

ITS will work with you to pick out the correct hardware equipment or software to meet your needs.
A technician can create cart for you in SDEZBuy and assign it to your purchasing agent.
By reviewing your software request USD will identify:
- Existing standard software the university already has that performs the same or similar function to the requested software
- Integration required and compatibility with existing systems, such as D2L, Office 365, Banner, or single sign on using your USD login
- Data security concerns on how the vendor handles our data
- Digital accessibility issues
- Support levels expected from the vendor or required by USD

Policies
ITS provides standard options for desktop and laptop computers. Any computers that require a different configuration are subject to approval by ITS.
