Cause

The laundry machines are a shared responsibility; this article is to breakdown who does what

Resolution

Housing

• Labels machines
• Receives reports of issues or requests for refunds
  • Vets the issues and escalates to other areas as needed
  • Resolving Laundry Reader Errors
  • If refund is needed they are assigned to the Laundry Refund group in Housing ticketing where ITS is notified to complete the refund
• Contacts areas listed below to get issues resolved
• Schedules vendors to troubleshoot machines

Auxiliary Services

• Orders new Machines

Facilities Management

• Verifies machine is connected properly
• Connects the wiring is correct between the reader and machine
• Test/replace reader
• Program price into machine and check with our test card to make sure what it charges
• Error NO RESPONSE FROM MACHINE
  • Jumper #3 on the control panel needs to be set to on

ITS

• Processes laundry refunds that have been approved by Housing
• Troubleshoots issues with reader or network issue
  • Tests reader
  • Setup Mode use KLM
  • KioSoft Card Reader error Payment Type Not Supported
  • Error NO RESPONSE FROM MACHINE
    • ITS needs to re-program the reader once jumber set
  • Factory Reset and re-program reader
  • Contacts Kiosoft for escalated issues

Kiosoft

• Assists in Troubleshooting issues with Readers
  • Error messages
  • Incorrect Programming

Quality Appliance

• Installs machines
• Troubleshoots machine hardware issues
• Installs replacement parts
