Run the Report Run History report in Cognos

Issue/Question

How do I run the Report Run History report in Cognos - listing of dates and times reports in a folder were run

Environment

  • COGNOS Analytics
  • SDBOR CA folder

Cause

Need to run the RIS Report Run History SDBOR report for a USD folder

Resolution

ITS STAFF ONLY

NOTE: You must be set up for access through RIS for SDBOR CA folder to run this report

  1. Log in to Cognos
  2. Go to Team content
  3. Click the SDBOR CA link
  4. Click the Report Run History SDBOR report
  5. Select the Location: (campus) from the drop-down list at the top of the page
  6. Select the Start Date for the report
  7. Select the End Date for the report
  8. Click the Click to populate Parent Path list button
  9. When the dropdown for Parent Path has populated, Select the parentpath to report on
  10. Click the Finish button
  11. The report displays in HTML
  12. To output to Excel, click the Select a format button at the top (it will be displaying HTML)
  13. Select the Excel option
  14. The report will run to Excel and place it in the Download location for your browser
