Submitting a Request for Post-Production Captions (Faculty)

Question

How do I request Post Production Captions as a faculty member?

Answer

  1. Log in to USD Accommodate faculty portal
  2. Click Caption Requests from the left side navigation
  3. Click Create New Caption Request for post-production caption generation or caption clean-up service
  4. Complete the fields for Title of file, Course title,  Date needed by, and File Location
    Note: If the request is for live captions during an in-person or virtual classroom event, follow the instructions on the Caption Request KB Article
  5. Click Submit
    Note: The normal turnaround time for caption files or transcripts is 72 hours. If the file is needed sooner than 72 hours, please email the Office of Accessibility at accessibility@usd.edu to request rush processing. There is a higher cost for a 24-hour turnaround time.
  6. A video of the process is available in Panapto: Submitting Caption Requests.  
    1. Change sign in from Panaopto to USD login
    2. Click Sign in
    3. User your USD Email and password to gain access

If you do not receive a response within 72 hours, please follow-up with the Office of Accessibility
