Jabra Headset Losing Phone Connection when Paired to Computer

Issue/Question

Jabra headset won't connect to multiple devices at same time.

My headset keeps disconnecting from my phone.

Environment

  • Jabra Headset
  • Jabra Direct
  • VOIP Phone

Cause

PC has exclusive control over Jabra Link 380 Bluetooth dongle

Resolution

  1. Open Control Panel
  2. Click Sound
  3. Click Playback
  4. Right-click Jabra Link 380 device
  5. Click Properties
  6. Click Advanced
  7. Uncheck Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device
  8. Click OK
  9. Click OK
  10. Re-pair headset
  11. If you are still having issues, disable softphone features in Jabra Direct
    1. Open Jabra Direct
    2. Click the headset device
    3. Click Softphone (PC)
    4. Disable Softphone Integration Options
    5. Click Save
    6. Click the USB Adapter device
    7. Click Softphone (PC)
    8. Turn off Prioritize Computer Audio
    9. Click Save
