Issue/Question

I don’t seem to have the Phish Alert button in Outlook. 

I don’t have the phish alert button when I get email

Error: "Your mail server needs a valid authentication token for the Phish Alert Button. If you need assistance with your mail server settings, please contact your admin."

Environment

  • Outlook 2010
  • Outlook 2013
  • Microsoft Mail
  • Email

Cause

Outlook 2010, Outlook 2013, Office 365 doesn't support the Phish Alert button

Resolution

  1. Restart the computer
  2. Follow these steps to remove previous version of Office
  3. Install Office 365
  4. Webmail
    1. Click the email
    2. Click
    3. Scroll to the bottom
    4. Click Phish Alert V2
