How do you Create a New Position Description (CSA/NFE)?

Cause
An employee/supervisor needs to create a new position description in Yourfuture.
Resolution
- Go to Yourfuture
- Click on the in the top left-hand corner
- Select Position Management (the orange toolbar)
- Select User Group (Initiator or Supervisor role)
- Select the Position Description drop-down menu
- Select CSA or NFE, whichever you are creating a job description for
- Select + Create New Position Description (orange toolbar on the right-hand side)
- Enter in working title of the new position description
- Enter in College/Unit and Department
- Search for/clone existing job descriptions (if applicable)
- Start Position Request
- The left-hand side has a menu that shows the progress of the new position description and can be used to navigate to specific screens
Note: Don’t jump over screens, complete all required fields on each screen
- Click Save or Save & Continue on the bottom right-hand side of the screen to ensure information is saved
- Once completed, go to the Position Request Summary screen found at the bottom of the menu on the left-hand side
- Use Edit to return to editing
- Route action according to your role and department hierarchy
- After routing, check the notice at the top of screen. It will indicate if successfully transitioned, or if there is missing information. If missing:
- Review the green check marks down the left side of each screen on the list.
- Screens with missing information will not have a green check mark.
- Once all screens have a green check mark, go to the last screen and redo step b.
