Some employees may experience an error message while to trying to enter their employee ID number during the account registration process of Benefits Open Enrollment. Board of Regent employees (includes USD employees) should use their Banner ID number found on their pay stub. If they still experience an error message, they need to contact Human Resources to obtain their State ID number.

Could not validate user information error message for the employee ID field
Resolution
- Use your Banner Employee ID, Find this employee ID number:
- On pay stub under ID Number box
- In myUSD Portal under Profile box
- Use ID (new) exactly how it appears
- If you receive an error message that Banner Employee ID does not work, use your State ID
- Contact Human Resources at 605-658-3662 to obtain this number
