How do I schedule a meeting using Scheduling Poll in Outlook?

Environment

  • Microsoft Office 365
  • Microsoft Outlook

Resolution

  1. Create a new email or select an email to reply to
  2. Required meeting attendees must be in the To field and optional attendees in the Cc field
  3. In the Message tab select New Scheduling Poll
  4. Fill in meeting settings
  5. Select a few meeting times to be voted on
  6. Click Next
  7. Enter the meeting location
  8. Click Manage Poll settings and toggle the ON/OFF options
  9. Click Create Poll
  10. Click Send to send the invites and start the voting process
  11. Once a time has been selected Outlook will automatically send a calendar invite
  12. To add a Zoom meeting open the calendar item and click Schedule a Meeting
    Note: This feature requires the Zoom Outlook Plugin
  13. Select your meeting options and click Save
  14. Click Save and Close or Send Update
