Resolution

Note: By the last day of your rental period, you must either return or buy your book rental. Please visit the online bookstore textbook return webpage and scroll down to For Rented Books Being Returned section for information on rental returns.

  1. All returns must be processed through the student's online bookstore account
Note: returns are NOT accepted at Charlie's Bookstore & Fan Shop
  2. Rental books are not returnable for a refund
  3. For rental books which are NOT returned, replacement costs will be charged by TextbookX
  4. If you want to keep your rental book, please refer to Buying Your Rental Book
  5. To process your rental book for return by mail:
    1. Go to USD's Online Bookstore
    2. Login with your USD credentials
    3. Select Returns
    4. Select Order down arrow and click on order number with rental book(s)
    5. The due date will be listed in the return control panel.
    6. Select rental items to return
    7. Select Print Shipping Label to print your free shipping label
    8. Enclose ALL rental books from ONLY the selected order number in one package
    9. IMPORTANT: Prior to putting the rentals in the package, please take a picture of the book(s) for reference. We recommend taking pictures of the front and back cover, the spine, and at least one or two pages with the book open. Hold on to these pictures until your rental return has been processed.
    10. Tape the package shut
    11. Tape the shipping label onto the outside of the package
    12. Drop off the package at a USPS shipping location by the last day of your rental period. The package must be postmarked by USPS no later than the listed due date.
Note:   Repeat steps g – n for each order number that has a rented book. DO NOT combine rental books from different order numbers in the same package.
