Using Two Monitors Through Remote Desktop

Issue/Question

Is there a setting that I can use my PC at home through the VPN and have dual monitors at the same time

Environment

• Microsoft Windows 10
• Remote Desktop Connection (RDP)

Cause

Wanting to use multiple monitors

Resolution

1. If connecting from off-campus see Using VPN Software first
2. Open Remote Desktop Connection
3. Click Show Options
4. Click Display tab
5. Check Use all my monitors for the remote session
6. Click Connect
7. To set as default behavior
   1. Click the General tab
   2. Click Save before connecting to your remote computer
