How do I clear cache and cookies

I want to submit final grades for my 8-week course but I am unable to access the Final Grade link in the Faculty Main Menu in SNAP. 

McAfee Virus Pop Up

I am unable to open D2L in Chrome. I get an error message.

Error: Bad Request - Header Field Too Long
HTTP Error 400. A request header field is too long

Environment

  • Google Chrome
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Internet Explorer (IE)
  • Microsoft Edge
  • Safari

Resolution

Note: Updating to the latest version of the Internet browser may also need to be done

Note:  Reboot computer after completing steps below

Note:  Log out of any sync'd profiles in browser

Note: If the option to clear Passwords and other sign-in data is checked, all login information will need to be re-entered.

Steps to Clear Cache and Cookies in Windows

Google Chrome

  1. Open Chrome
  2. Press CTRL+SHIFT+DELETE keys at the same time
  3. Select All time from the Time range list
    Note: If set to the last hour it will not resolve your issue
  4.  Cached images and files
  5.  Cookies and other site data
  6. Click Clear data

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Open Firefox
  2. Press CTRL+SHIFT+DELETE keys at the same time
  3. Select Everything from the When: dropdown menu
  4. Cookies and site data
  5. Temporary cached files and pages
  6. Click OK
  1. Open Firefox
  2. At the top right, click the Menu  button
  3. Select Settings
  4. Click on  Privacy & Security
  5. In the Cookies and Site Data section, click Clear Data
  6. Cookies and Site Data
  7. Click Clear

Microsoft Edge

  1. Open Microsoft Edge
  2. Press CTRL+SHIFT+DELETE keys at the same time
  3.  Cached data and files
  4.  Cookies and saved website data
  5. Click Clear

Steps to Clear Cache and Cookies in Mac OS

Safari

  1. Open Safari
  2. Click on Safari next to the  logo
  3. Click Clear History...
  4. Select all history
  5. Click Clear History

Chrome

  1. Open Chrome
  2. Click More 
  3. Click More tools
  4. Click Clear browsing data
  5. Choose a time range. To delete everything select All time
  6. Check the boxes next to Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files
  7. Click Clear data

Firefox

  1. Open Firefox
  2. Click Firefox next to the  logo
  3. Click Settings...
  4. Click Privacy & Security
  5. Under Cookies and Site Data click Clear Data...
  6. Select Everything in the When: drop down menu
  7. Check the boxes for:
    • History
    • Cookies and site data
    • Temporary cached files and pages
    • Site settings
  8. Click Clear

Steps to Force Refresh 

  1. Open the Internet Browser
  2. Press the SHIFT key and click Reload button in your browser.
