My scanner is not scanning

Note: The Windows 11 24H2 update has caused issues with some computers ability detect USB scanners. For a temporary fix, follow USB Scanner Not Working After Windows Updates

  1. Confirm scanner is powered on
  2. Restart the computer
  3. Test the scanner
  4. Power down the scanner
  5. Remove the power and USB cables
  6. Reconnect the scanner
  7. Plug the scanner into the computer, not the docking station
  8. Power up the scanner
  9. Test the scanner
  10. Ensure scanner is set to correct input (flatbed or feeder/glass)
  11. Ensure the flatbed lock is not enabled
  12. Uninstall and reinstall scanner software and drivers
