Issue/Question

We have a broken phone

My phone buttons stick and enter multiple numbers

My voip phone is taking a really long time to make phone calls. There is a long pause before it will dial out and connect the call.

Environment

  • Cisco Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) Phone

Cause

Phone is worn

Resolution

  1. Reset VoIP phone by disconnecting the cable from port labeled Network on back of phone and then reconnect
    Note: It may take several minutes for phone to register after reconnecting
  2. Training for VOIP Phones
  3. If you are still having issues, Please contact the Service Desk with the following information:
    1. Description of problem with the phone
    2. Phone number and name of person phone is registered to
    3. Building and room where phone is located
