Issue/Question

Can't log into a University owned computer

Error: The trust relationship between this workstation and the primary domain failed

Error: Windows couldn't connect to the User Profile Service service. Please consult your system administrator

Environment

  • Windows
  • macOS

Cause

Multiple causes

Resolution

Reinstall Network Driver

  1. Right click
  2. Click Device Manager
  3. Click beside Network adapters
  4. Right click the wired network card entry
  5. Click Uninstall device
  6. Check Delete the driver software for this device
  7. Click Uninstall
  8. Reboot the computer

  1. Computer location
  2. Computer asset tag
