Can't Get Local Print Job to Cancel

Issue/Question

I have a printing job on my printer that won't print and won't cancel. I have tried to go into the control panel to delete it but it doesn't happen.

The printers are not working again after the docking station. 

Environment

  • Windows 10
  • HP LaserJet M400

Cause

Stuck print job

Resolution

Resetting print spooler

  1. Press  + R
  2. Type services.msc
  3. Press Enter
  4. Select Print Spooler
  5. Right click Print Spooler
  6. Select Stop
  7. Navigate to C:\Windows\system32\spool
  8. Doulbe click PRINTERS
  9. Click Continue
  10. Press CTRL+A
  11. Press Delete
  12. Return to Services window
  13. Right click Print Spooler
  14. Select Start
