Requesting a Secure Cognos Folder Be Created

Issue/Question

I would like to have a secure folder created in Cognos and would like reports available for me to run saved in there.

Environment

Resolution

ITS STAFF ONLY

  1. Assign to Development team
  2. Route ticket to Cognos security delegate
  3. Review justification and feasibiity of secure folder location
  4. Get approval from stakeholder if needed.  e.g. Registrar, Financial Aid, Budget, etc
    1. If approved, request new folder using the RIS Cognos Security Request form 
      1. Submit to SDBOR-DSS@sdbor.eduInclude the following information on the request form
        1. Users name and BORIS ID for access
        2. Name of secure folder
        3. Requested location of the secure folder
      2. Wait for RIS to complete request
      3. Contact customer to test access
    2. If denied, contact customer with reason for denial
