Mapping Slate Schools for Liaison (CAS) to Banner

Issue/Question

It is rare that an international school from Liaison matches to the school in the Slate school table. Due to this it is manual entry in Banner SOAPCOL. Is it possible to map a few of the most received schools so the school in Slate will load to Banner? If this can be mapped it will save on processing time.

Cause

Liaison data is not matched to Slate

Resolution

1. Find the School's Liaison Code from Data Dictionaries and Master Code Lists - Liaison on column B (mdb_code)
2. Search for the School in Slate
3. The Key will typically be the letter B followed by the code in Banner, which is displayed on the top-right of this view, copy this code
4. Go to Detail
5. Edit
   1. Add the Key to the Banner Code field, remove the B prefix
   2. Add FICE if you have it from Liaison's Master List
   3. Save
6. Profile
7. Account
8. Place the mdb_code from Step 1 in the Key field
9. Save
10. Now the school will link with Liaison and Banner.
