Coyote Card Reader on Multifunction Copier not working

Issue/Question

Copier  unusable. 

Error: Can not recognize a card reader. Connect again after removal if it is already connected

Environment

• Card Reader
• MRD5
• Multi-function Copiers

Cause

Copier sleep mode shuts off power to the USB port the MRD5 /tap reader causing it to run on battery power until the device until the battery is drained and powers off.  An update has been pushed to each of the Sharp multifunction devices, This should resolve the issue

Resolution

1. Power on the multifunction device 
2. press the power button on the tap reader
3. Please contact the Service Desk with the following information: 
   1. Building
   2. location of the copier
