Issue/Question

How do I view accommodation letters for students in my course in the Accommodate portal?

Environment

Cause

The Office of Accessibility uses a software platform, Accommodate, to manage accommodations.

Resolution

  1. If a student requests to use accommodations in your course, you will receive an email asking you to log in to Accommodate and view their Accommodation Letter.
  2. Log into Accommodate faculty portal
  3. To view a student’s accommodation letter click Accommodation Letters
  4. Click the letter (memo) that you wish to view
  5. If your signature is requested, Requested will appear in a black rectangle next to the letter
  6. Once a letter is signed, the text will indicate Signed.
  7. Once the letter is open, you have the option to print or generate a PDF of the accommodation letter
  8. If your signature is requested, please complete the form as indicated.
Note: You can scroll to the bottom to sign and save for your own record (PLEASE NOTE: your signature is not required to confirm receipt). The Accommodation Letter will remain viewable in your portal.
  9. To return to the full list, select Return to List (Accommodation Letter) or cancel if you have not done anything
  10. To view a list of students enrolled in your course with accommodations, click Courses in the main menu
  11. Click the course you wish to view
  12. Here you can view course details, enrolled students, alternative test room bookings, or exams.
