How do I sign up to stay over winter break?

Answer

1. University Housing allows students living on campus to stay in their rooms for winter break if they desire
2. The cost of staying in your University Housing room over winter break is not included in your academic year housing cost. Students wishing to stay on campus over winter break should fill out the winter break stay form located in the University Housing Portal
   • Note: Students will not have the option to fill out this form until winter break approaches. Check your USD email often for updates on when this form will be available
3. Click Break Stay Request button
4. Click Request button for the appropriate academic term
5. Review the presented information for accuracy and click Save & Continue if everything is correct
6. Enter the dates which you intend to stay on campus, along with the reason for your break stay and who will be paying for your additional night(s) stayed. Click Save & Continue
   • Note: Each night outside of contracted dates will be charged to the student's account at a rate of $22.58 per night
7. If the student will be covering this cost, click Save & Continue
   • If another selectable department is covering this cost, click Save & Continue If you selected Other USD Department, please enter any relevant information necessary in the text box provided before clicking Save & Continue
8. Read the early arrival agreement and sign electronically by typing the student's first and last name in the appropriate box
9. Click Submit Break Stay Request
