How do I request maintenance for my dorm? What do I do if something is wrong with my dorm room?
Answer
- Tell your RA. From there, your RA will be able to put in a work order for your maintenance concern
- Clear the space surrounding the issue
- Depending on the situation, either facilities management or the operations crew will respond to your maintenance concern. They will need to be able to easily access this space
Note: After the work order is submitted, facilities management and the operations crew are permitted to enter student rooms with or without the student present. Both departments will knock several times before entering the space, but will assume the space is unoccupied if the door is not answered. Unless it is an immediate emergency, work orders are only processed between 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday.
