Issue/Question

Copy machine card reader won't scan.

Error: Unable to Connect to Server, Contact Administrator

Environment

  • Blackboard

  • Copier

Resolution

  1. Verify the card reader itself is on
    Note:  A light may be showing on the device even if it is not on
  2. To power on, click and hold the front button until you hear a positive chime and green light
  3. Test again
  4. If still does not connect contact the Service Desk and include the below information
    • Describe the problem you are having
    • Location of the copier
    • Serial number of copier, if known
    • NI number on the card reader
