Rename a Building Block in Word

How do I rename a building block in Word?

Answer

You can rename a building block if you desire.

1. On the Insert tab, in the Text group
2. Click on the Quick Parts command
3. Click on Building Blocks Organizer
4. Find the name of the building block that you wish to rename and select it, click Edit Properties button
5. Another dialog box will open, In this box, you will have the option of editing the properties, including the name, of the building block you selected
6. After you have modified the building block name and/or other information, click the Ok button
7. If you are asked Do you want to redefine the building block entry, you should click Yes
