Linking Panopto video to D2L

Question

How do I link a Panopto video to my D2L course?

Answer

1. Navigate to Panopto in D2L
2. Hover over the video you wish to share with your students, the options Settings, Share, Edit, Stats, and Delete will appear, select Share
3. Under Who has access, make sure it says Anyone at your organization with the link, then under that it should have the course name, along with the instructor’s name as creator, then under that the class name again as can view (If you have students enrolled at another institution, you may want to use the Anyone with the link option as those students may not be used to using their USD credentials)
4. Click the red Save Changes button at the bottom
5. Copy the link at the top
6. Navigate to the Content section of the D2L course
7. Create or click on the module you wish to add the link to
8. Click the blue New button, select Create a Link
9. Give the link a title (e.g. Week 1 Video)
10. Paste the link you copied from Panopto into the URL, click Create
11. The video will now be available to students
