Question

How do I create channels within a Microsoft Team?

Answer

Teams are made up of channels, which are the conversations you have with your teammates. Each channel is dedicated to a specific topic, department, or project. You must be an owner of the Team to add a channel. You can follow the instructions at this Microsoft Link if the steps below don't work

  1. Click on the more options tab next to your Team
  2. Click on Manage Channels
  3. Click on Add Channel
  4. Name the Channel
  5. Click Add

The new channel will appear under the Team Name in the left sidebar.
