What are the basic components of OneNote?

Answer

When you first open OneNote you will see the basic components of the program.  See diagram below:

  1. Notebooks: The main files in OneNote, it is like a paper notebook but just with unlimited pages. You are able to create different notebooks to however is best for organization. 
  2. Sections: Dividers within notebooks that act as the next level in the hierarchy. 
  3. Pages: Notes, lists, and planners can be within these sections. With the ability to add, move, rename, and delete pages, and create sub pages.
