Computer goes to sleep after 2 minutes

Environment

Cause

System unattended sleep timeout set to 2 minutes

Resolution

  1. Click
  2. Type Regedit
  3. Click Regedit
  4. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\PowerSettings\238C9FA8-0AAD-41ED-83F4-97BE242C8F20\7bc4a2f9-d8fc-4469-b07b-33eb785aaca0
  5. Double click on Attributes
  6. Enter 2
  7. Click OK
  8. Close Registry Editor
  9. Click
  10. Type Edit Power Plan
  11. Click Edit Power Plan
  12. Click Change advanced power settings
  13. Click next to Sleep
  14. Click next to System unattended sleep timeout
  15. Click Setting (Minutes):
  16. Change value to 20 minutes
  17. Click OK
  18. Close Edit Power Plan
