My touchpad is not working on my laptop

Error: Synaptics TouchPad Enhancements has stopped working

Touchpad on Fujitsu E744 is Unresponsive

Touchpad is not responding with a green light in the upper left hand corner

Environment

Cause

Multiple causes

Resolution

For HP EliteBook 850 G3 Laptop

  1. Double tap the touchpad to enable it again
  2. To prevent the touchpad from being disabled again, right-click on the Synaptics icon in the system tray
  3. Click Synaptics properties
  4. Uncheck double tap to enable or disable touchpad
  5. Click OK

For other laptops, or if the steps above do not resolve the issue
