Problem Printing Academic Catalog in FireFox

This is how to fix the known issue with printing from the Academic Catalog with FireFox, where it tries to print several thousand pages after rendering it incorrectly.

Issue/Question

Trying to print 2 pages from the 2022-2023 catalog from Mozilla—and it prints the entire catalog

I attempted to print the 22' Psychology checklist from the USD online catalog. It printed the checklist - then continued to print blank sheets

Environment

  • Mozilla FireFox
  • Catalog.usd.edu

Cause

A known glitch with how FireFox renders the catalog.usd.edu (Acalog) pages

Resolution

  1. From the print screen click More settings
  2. Under the Format section click Simplified
  3. The page will now render correctly for printing
