Issues Accessing Digital Materials from Pearson

Issue/Question

I am unable to access my online math book. I have already redeemed the code and have access to only the first page

Can Only Access one Page of Digital Material from Pearson

I cannot access digital materials from Pearson

I am receiving an error code when logging into my First Day Access course materials.

Environment

• Pearson Digital Materials
• Charlie's Bookstore website
• usd.textbookx.com
• USD's Online Bookstore
• D2L
• VitalSource
• Course Dashboard

Resolution

First check to see if there is a system issue with the product on the Pearson site: Pearson Service Interruptions and follow the instructions. If nothing is listed, the type of product and issue will determine what course of action is taken. 

Pearson First Day Access (FDA) course materials access issues (these are listed as First Day Access):

1. Students will access their FDA material through D2L (USD's Learning Management System)

Pearson course material ordered through their online bookstore account access issues (not First Day Access but ordered by the student):

1. Access content either through the student's online bookstore D2L VitalSource Course Dashboard or eLibrary 
   1. Go to D2L
   2. Sign in with your USD credentials
   3. Select your Course
   4. In the red banner at the top of the page
   5. Select Resources
   6. Select USD Bookstore & Course Dashboard
   7. You are now in the VitalSource Course Dashboard
   8. Select your materials to access
2. If this is not possible or your receive errors, contact the Help Section at usd.textbookx.com
3. If none of the options work, in the lower right corner of webpage, select the chat bubble and ask for help
