Problems Printing PDFs

Issue/Question

Can't print PDFs but can print other items

When it prints, it only prints on 1/4 of the page

Some pages printing in wrong orientation

Error: An error occurred while printing the document

Environment

• Windows OS
• Adobe Acrobat

Cause

There are multiple causes for this issue

Resolution

1. Try printing other pdf files to identify if the problem is only with one file
2. Verify that the page orientation print setting is correct for the PDF being printed
3. Verify if there are multiple versions of Adobe installed
   Note: if multiple versions are installed, try printing from other versions
4. Set Internet browser to always open pdfs in Adobe Acrobat Reader instead of showing a preview
5. Reinstall Microsoft Office
6. Contact the Service Desk to have your printer drivers updated
