How can I have students upload video assignments in D2L

How can I have students record and upload video assignments in D2L

Environment

• Panopto
• D2L

Cause

Issues with D2L dropbox for large videos

Resolution

Note: Your D2L course needs to be setup with Panopto as an external learning tool first

1. Log into USD-Panopto choosing the D2L login option
2. In the parent folder of the course click the cog wheel in the upper right corner
3. Click on the Overview tab
4. Under Assignment Folder click on Create Assignment Folder
5. A link to the new assignment folder will automatically appear
6. Any user with Viewer role on the parent folder will be able to upload and or record/upload to this folder

Note: For students to upload or record to that folder

1. Log into D2L course
2. Click on content
3. Click on Panopto (left)
4. Click on Panopto-USD (top)
5. Click the Create button
6. Choose Upload or Record
