An error popped up when trying to open Zoom
Error: zvideoApp.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error
Received an error when trying to open Zoom
Unable to start a Zoom session in the classroom
Unable to start a Zoom session inside of D2L
Environment
Cause
Zoom client is not installed
.dll files are corrupted
Resolution
- Open a new web browser window or tab
- Type in the address bar usd.zoom.us
- Click Host to start a meeting
- Log in if needed
- Click Open Zoom Meetings
- Do not see that option, check to see if the Zoom app .exe file automatically downloaded
- If downloaded, click on the .exe file to install
- If it did not download, click the Download Now link on the web page
- Install the Zoom Client
- Still unable to start Zoom, see step 11
- Please contact the Service Desk with the following information:
- Building name
- Room number
- A detailed description of the issue and include any error messages
