Issue/Question

My Mac laptop no longer connects to wireless networks, both on and off campus.  The change occurred within the last two days and coincides in time with resetting my wireless router at home.  The computer retains connections to a small set of websites (Google, Gmail, Google Sheets), but neither Safari, Outlook, or Chrome connect to any other sites or servers.

Cause

Static IP set

Resolution

  1. Click 
  2. Select Open Network Preferences
  3. Select Wi-Fi
  4. Click Advanced
  5. Select TCP/IP
  6. Click 
  7. Select Using DHCP
  8. Click Okay
  9. Click Apply
