Replacing a Sharp Copier Toner Cartridge

Copier is out of toner.

Environment

• Sharp BC-70C31 Multi-function Copier

Cause

Toner used up

Resolution

Note: A new toner cartridge should be shipped to your department automatically when the toner is low. Do not replace until toner is empty.

1. Open the front cover
   1. Pull both sides and lower from top down
      
2. Pull the toner cartridge toward you
   1. The empty toner cartridge is ejected forward to enable removal
   2. Pull gently as toner may spill out
3. Take new toner cartridge from its package and shake it horizontally five or six times
   
4. Slowly insert the new toner cartridge on the level
   Note: Ensure to install a toner cartridge of the same color as a toner cartridge of a different color cannot be installed
   
5. Press firmly until you hear a click
6. Lift both sides of the front cover and close
   1. The machine will automatically enter an image adjustment mode
      1. Do no open the front cover while this is occurring
