Requesting to Disable Screen Lock Security Setting

Issue/Question

How can I disable a lock screen on my USD owned computer

I need to keep the computer unlocked when I'm working on an experiment

Environment

• Windows10
• Windows 7
• Domain Computers

Cause

University computers will lock after 15 minutes of inactivity to prevent unauthorized access to information

Resolution

Note: Security exceptions are granted only when the security setting prevents a software application from operating correctly thereby disrupting University processes

   3. Contact number
   4. NI tag of the computer
   5. Justification
