HDMI port not working

Issue/Question

I have a laptop that the port to plug into the HDMI cord into is not working.

Environment

  • Lenovo Laptop
  • Windows 10

Cause

Driver needs to be updated

Resolution

  1. Open Device Manager
  2. Click Display Adapters drop down
  3. Right click the Display Adapter
  4. Select Update Driver Software
  5. Click Search automatically for updated driver software
  6. Click Close 
  7. Reboot computer
