Environment
Resolution
- Accept the work study award on your electronic award notification via your student self-service portal:
- Log into myUSD Portal
- In quick links, Click Financial Aid Self-Service
- In Select Campus Click and select University of South Dakota
- Under the Financial Aid tab, select Award
- Select Award for Aid Year
- Choose the correct Financial Aid year
- In the Award Package for Award year, select Accept Award Offer
- Accept or decline your awards
- Students should use Coyote Careers to check job listings for open work-study positions as well as local part-time employment
- Even as you are looking for a job:
- Be prepared to share your class schedule and any other relevant time commitments with potential employers
- When you are offered a work-study job, make sure that the working dates, wage, schedule, and other expectations are clear before you accept the offer
- New hire forms require employees to fill out a W-4, direct deposit form and an I-9
- The I-9 requires hard copy documents that show identification and proof of eligibility to work
- For most students this is either a passport or both a physical social security card and your drivers license
- The official list of acceptable documents can be found here: Form I-9 Acceptable Documents
