Manually restart the computer

  1. Hold down the power button for 20-30 seconds.
  2. Wait 15 seconds
  3. Turn the system back on.
  4. If this is a Lenovo laptop
    1. Unplug from power or docking station
    2. Use a paperclip to press the button in the tiny hole on the bottom of the laptop
    3. Restart laptop
  5. If screen is still not working, please contact the Service Desk with the following information: 
    1. The NI tag or serial number of the laptop
    2. The location of the laptop
    3. What is wrong with the laptop
