User is unable to access network shares but has Internet connectivity

Environment

  • Windows 10

Cause

Multiple causes

Resolution

  1. Type Network Status in Windows search bar
  2. Press ENTER
  3. Click Ethernet
  4. Ensure you are connected to sdbor.local
  5. Click Change Adapter Options 
  6. Right-click appropriate network and select Properties
  7. Double-click Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)
  8. Check Obtain DNS server address automatically if not already selected
  9. Click OK
  10. Click OK
