Running Out of Space on C: Drive for OneDrive

Issue/Question

  • I am running out of space on my C Drive because of OneDrive
  • How do I move OneDrive location to save disk space on C: drive

Environment

  • Windows
  • Onedrive

Cause

  • Desktop C-Drive runs out of space

Resolution

  1. Right click the OneDrive taskbar icon and select Settings
  2. Click Account
  3. Click Choose Folders
  4. Remove the checkmark from any folders you don't need on this computer
  5. Click OK
  6. Click the Unlink OneDrive
  7. Launch File Explorer or  + E
  8. Locate current OneDrive location
  9. Click Move to button on the Home tab.
  10. Select Choose location
  11. Select the new location
  12. Click Move
  13. Once the windows finished moving the file, log in to OneDrive
