Note: If you get a message that you need to enter an access code, you have missed a step in the process! Access Code/License Key for PC versions

USD provides a site license for EndNote. Current USD students, faculty and staff can download EndNote to their work or home computers.

PC:

1. Go to Windows EndNote download
2. Click on at top-left to download .zip file
3. Browse to desired folder and click Save
4. Open downloaded file
5. Click Extract all at top of window
6. Click Extract
7. Go to folder with extracted files and open it
8. Doubleclick EN22Inst.msi     
   1. Note: License.dat file must be in the same folder as EN22Inst.msi
   2. See Access Code/License Key for PC versions
9. Click Next
10. Click Accept
11. Click Next
12. Select I accept the license agreement
13. Click Next
14. Click Next
15. Click Next
16. Click Next
17. If prompted to close Office applications close them and click Retry
18. Click Finish

MAC:

1. Go to macOS EndNote download
2. Click Download
3. Save to desired location on computer
4. Open EndNote2025SiteInstaller.dmg file after it downloads
5. Drag the EndNote icon to the Applications folder to install the program
6. Open EndNote from your Applications folder
