Unable to Connect via HDMI to Projector or TV

Issue/Question

• The HDMI laptop cable to the projector doesn't appear to work. I can get it to work with the VGA cable. but with the HDMI cable, it projects a gray screen.
• Something wrong with the HDMI cable

Environment

• USD Classroom
• Small group room

Cause

No Display showing when connecting the laptop through the HDMI cable

Resolution

1. In XPanel select HDMI Input
   Note: if the room is not equipped with Xpanel, Locate for the TV remote to power on the TV
2. Disconnect and reconnect HDMI cable
   Note: If using an adapter, reconnect adapter as well
3. If the instructions did not address the issue, please contact the Servicedesk with below information
