Unable to Open Network Share File

Issue/Question

Can open all files in a folder but one document on the network share.  I get the following error:

     Error: Access denied

Environment

• Windows 10
• Network (X) drive

Cause

File saved with wrong permissions

Permissions have changed

Resolution

Note:  If a Word document is emailed to another who converts it to PDF, the Word document needs to be saved then opened.  If the Word document is opened directly from Outlook, it opens in Read Only and those permissions are transferred to the PDF.

1. Contact owner of the document
2. Ask them to open and re-save the document
3. Refresh  document folder
4. Try accessing the document again
