The cost of improvements (remodeling or upgrading spaces, installing phone lines, repair and assembly of departmental equipment and furnishing of departmental offices and labs) is generally the responsibility of the department. Facilities Management will assist with any funding source questions as we plan a project with the department. The rates shown below are designed to cover the cost of the services provided. Telephone repairs and changes are done by an outside contractor at the rate negotiated by the Bureau of Information & Telecommunications (BIT).

If requested, estimates will be provided to the department prior to proceeding with the project. Estimates are guidelines for what the department can expect to be billed for requested work. These estimates are just that, not guarantees of maximum cost. Actual costs will be billed. Estimates will not be valid if the scope of the project changes prior to completion of the project.
