Supplemental Instruction & Tutoring Schedule

Summary

Information about tutors and supplemental instruction for a number of USD classes.

Body

Description

Supplemental Instruction (SI) is a program that helps students succeed in high-risk courses. You will have several sessions per week, led by another undergraduate student who has already done well in the course and is attending it again to learn along with you. SI sessions are not intended to be a re-telling of the faculty's lecture; rather, the SI leader will lead the group in educational activities that ease the learning of materials.

FAQs

  • There will be Supplemental Instruction (SI) Leaders for on-campus sections of BIOL 151, BIOL 475, CHEM 106, and CHEM 310 this fall, and BIOL 153 and PHGY 220 in the spring.
  • A schedule will be posted by the second week of classes each term.
