I need to attend meetings scheduled in teams.

Cause

Microsoft Teams meetings can be joined from a computer, mobile device, or web browser. You do not need a Teams account to join most meetings, unless the meeting organizer has restricted access.

Resolution

Join from a Teams Meeting Link (Recommended)

  1. Open the meeting invitation from your email or calendar
  2. Select Click here to join the meeting
  3. When prompted, choose one of the following:
    • Open your Teams app (if installed)
    • Continue on this browser (no app required)
  4. Configure your microphone and camera settings
  5. Select Join now
    Note: If the meeting has a lobby enabled, you may need to wait for the organizer to admit you.
 
Join from Microsoft Teams (Desktop App)
  1. Open the Microsoft Teams application
  2. Select Calendar from the left-hand menu
  3. Locate the meeting and select Join
  4. Adjust your audio and video settings
  5. Select Join now
 
Join from a Web Browser

Microsoft Teams supports joining meetings using Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome

  1. Select the meeting link
  2. Choose Continue on this browser
  3. Allow the browser to use your microphone and camera if prompted
  4. Enter your name if required
  5. Select Join now
 
Join from a Mobile Device (Phone or Tablet)
  1. Install the Microsoft Teams app from the App Store or Google Play
  2. Open the meeting invitation and select the meeting link
  3. The Teams app will open automatically
  4. Adjust your audio/video settings
  5. Select Join now
     
Join by Phone (Audio Only)
  1. If the meeting invitation includes a phone number:
    1. Dial the phone number listed in the invitation
    2. Enter the Conference ID when prompted
    3. Follow the audio instructions to join the meeting
